Head Coach
Head Coach Bexx has over 8 years experience in cheerleading and she first found her love for cheerleading when she became one of Brighton and Hove Albion's Gullys Girls where she went on to become the captain and running the squad. Bexx continued to cheer for BHAFC when she went to Uni in Chichester, where she also joined the uni squad Chichester Cheetahs. This is where Bexx discovered competitive cheerleading and with the squad competed in BCA competitions in Telford and Eastbourne at level 2/3. She also won a trophy with her level 3 stunt group.
Spirit Elite began in May 2015, when head coach Bexx felt that there wasn’t a competitive cheerleading squad on offer for the children in Uckfield. Starting with just 3 squads Spirit Elite now has 7 squads, 4 Recreational and 3 Competition Squads with over 100 athletes. Classes are held at both Fun Abounds and Elite Dance and Drama Academy in Uckfield. The Rec squad trains Wednesdays and Comp Squads are Wednesdays and Fridays. We train on a gymnastic flooring, with specialised equipment. ​​

Bexx has loved setting up the only competitive cheer squad in this area and has enjoyed sharing her passion for cheerleading. Still today her main aim is teach new cheerleaders the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship!

She is looking forward to what the future brings for Spirit Elite particularly taking part in the competitions. Bexx also co-owns sistering company Elite Dance and Drama Academy where they run a variety of Dance and Drama lessons in their own studios for all ages and abilities. ​

​Spirit Elite is coming up to its 2nd birthday and it has grown from strength to strength each year and we now have 5 squads and 115 athletes.
